Who we Are

In 2016, two years into my battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, I had the opportunity to meet Karen and Gene Wenzel and David Eyrise who led Lindsay's Voice.  They had invited me to be their Ambassador in 2016 and then I was blessed with the opportunity to join their board.  Their passion for hosting events and delivering financial support to the Organizations that treated their daughter during her battle was inspiring to me and gave me an opportunity to give back.  In 2022 they decided to retire and close Lindsay's Voice after 10 yrs of dedication to awareness, fundraising and support for organizations that helped their daughter.

Our goal with Delivering a Cure is to carry on their vision of event based fundraising to support the battle with blood cancer.  We are excited to expand our support, covering three aspects of the battle:

1) Patients:  There is an incredible disruption to the patients life that comes along with diagnosis, resulting in upheaval personally and professionally.  Our goal is to provide financial support to patients and their families as they battle this disease by providing gas cards, hotel stays, support on medical bills and more.

2) Organizations:  There are so many groups that work hard to provide critical care, access to bone marrow donors, treatments and research that look for fundraising to offset costs of blood drives, adding bone marrow donors to the registry and providing day care for transfusions.  Our goal is to provide annual financial support that is apart from grants that allows these organizations flexibility in using the funds to support the patient

3) Care Givers:  The staff on the Bone Marrow Transplant and Blood Cancer treatment floors work tirelessly to care for the patient and ensure their comfort.  These care givers have financial burdens or goals for enhancing education to grow their career.  Our goal is to provide scholarships and funding to offset costs they experience during their daily support of the patient.

I  welcome you to join us in our events to raise funds to support the ecosystem focused on the patient as we work to "Deliver a Cure" to the challenges that come along with the diagnosis.

At anytime, if you want to see additional events or opportunities to improve experiences, do not hesitate to email me at jaz@dac-wi.org.

Kind regards,
